JhatpatOrder
Our own multi-tenant ordering platform for hotels and street food vendors, with QR ordering, a live kitchen view and an Android app on Google Play.
PHP · React · Capacitor · Android
The idea
Hotels, cafés and street food stalls want customers to order quickly, but marketplace apps take a commission on every order and own the customer relationship. JhatpatOrder gives each vendor their own ordering page and QR code, with no commission per order.
How it works
- Each vendor is a separate tenant with its own menu, orders, staff logins and shareable QR code.
- Customers scan the QR code at the table or counter and order from their phone's browser — no app download needed.
- The vendor's Android app receives a push notification for every new order. Tapping it opens that order directly.
- Orders move through new, preparing and ready states, visible to the kitchen and front counter.
Engineering notes
The app is built with React 18, Vite and Capacitor on top of a PHP and MySQL API. Push notifications use data-only Firebase Cloud Messaging payloads so the app controls exactly which screen opens. Because the API runs on standard web hosting protected by a strict web application firewall, we designed the request format and routes so legitimate app traffic is never blocked.
We prepared the full Google Play submission ourselves: icons and feature graphics, the manifest review and the Data Safety form.
